Good value: large room, moderate price, well located, interesting view of nineteenth-century facade across the street. We didn't use all the amenities (such as health club and dining room) but appreciated that they were there. |

The Quality Hotel in Glasgow is an old, elegant building which wraps around two sides of Central Station in downtown Glasgow. Our room window overlooked this very clean large glass-topped station which housed many small shops and kiosks. The trains are electric, quiet, and there was no odor from the station. Our room was ready by 12:30. The hot water heating system ran through the towel bars (warm towels). The room cost was a bargain but was smaller than most of the other rooms. The dining room serves buffet and the food is very good. We did not visit the bars in the hotel, except to get ice (no ice machines available). The hotel employees were all friendly and very helpful. We would stay there again. |

Having lived in Central Glasgow for a whole year in 2003, I got to know the city fairly well, which areas were safe to venture 'after hours' and which were not. Although the Hotel is on the corner with Hope Street, it was a safe and extremely central location. The room wasn't that sizeable, but for such a bargain price (and locale, to reiterate), the facilities were ample and it was CLEAN ! I never used the dining facilities so cannot comment on them; then again, in Glasgow, one is definitely spoilt for choice of food and wine ! The staff were quick and efficient and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those who visit Glasgow. |
